Uwe Remer is the owner manager of 2E mechatronic and has been actively involved in the company
from the very beginning.
Through innovative products, manufacturing technology and continually development, the company
has made a name for itself both nationally and internationally and is today one of the major suppliers
to the automobile industry.
The product range includes among others DIN connectors, high-precision injection moulded housing
for ESP®, housing for side airbags, capacitive inclination sensors and MID diodes. In recognition of
having met the high standards required by the automobile industry, the company was, in 2010,
certified ISO/TS 16949 for the 4th time. In addition, the company also received certification for
Environment Management Systems in accordance with ISO 14001:2004.
For a number of years, 2E has been successfully involved in several research projects in the area
of Microsystem technology. The first fully automated production line for hot embossed MID components
resulted from a Ministry of Research and Technology (BMBF) aided AHMID project and which in 2004
manufactured the first worldwide series of MID parts for the automobile industry.
(Moulded Interconnect Devices).
A further MID process has been developed by LPKF, a direct laser structuring of substrate plastics,
which has enabled miniaturized 3D components with mechatronic functions to be manufactured.
Today, these processes are used by 2E in the manufacturing of samples as well as in series manufacture.
Furthermore, 2E, through its Know-How and continual research and development work is well prepared
for future market developments. Resulting from our current research projects in the areas of Sensor and
Micro System technology, 2E has developed innovative products for medical technology, robotics and
mobility. Companies such as Bosch, Hella, Leica Systems, Webasto and KaVo, to name but a few, are
among our clientele.
